For fans of Chat Pile, Thantifaxath, Mamaleek, grindcore, and gargantuan catharsis to meet the task of expelling enormous emotional pain, Oszukać Listopad by Czernina takes a maximalist extreme metal approach to exorcise personal demons. The resulting album combines mathy, progressive structures with an aesthetic fundamentally rooted in depressive black metal, creating this highly dynamic, intensely riff-based style which organically flows between phrases like a mental downward spiral corrupting every incoming thought. All external stimulus gets metabolized into ammunition to assault a suffering spirit, all converting into some variation of shouted vocals, distorted guitar, frantic drums, and driving bass. By taking this internal experience and converting it into a work of art, Czernina in turn provides us an outlet to recognize such processes within ourselves and externalize them in turn. We lift one another up in our once lonely struggles, communicating through music our fundamental desire to press on despite absolute suffering in our minds.
