Fen Creatures by Fuzzy Lights

Fen Creatures by Fuzzy Lights

For fans of Comus, The New Eves, Laura Jurd, dark, understated post rock, and the usage of local folklore traditions to advocate for a sustainable future, Fen Creatures by Fuzzy Lights tells the buried ancient history of East Anglia through a unique blend of blues rock, traditional folk, and kraut rock, offering up a prayer for hope in the face of the apocalypse. Guitar riffs outline the abrasive harmonies of post rock, evading opportunities for virtuosic lead roles to instead highlight dissonance and feedback. This unnerving basis molds itself into the shapes of ancient British folk traditions, combining with traditional folk vocals conjure up an image of pre-Christian Britain and all its sacred spirits. When given the opportunity to express itself, the spirit of the land cries out in pain, begging for its life as the industrial world which was born on its soil strangles any such spirit found anywhere in the world. Hearing the call, we must pick sides, to either tend to the emaciated spirit of the land or continue our path of spiritual and physical annihilation.
