Wind and Worms by River Access

Wind and Worms by River Access

For fans of Animal Collective, The Strokes, Have a Nice Life, that one specific segment of the London sound, and dissociating in the middle of a serious conversation, Wind and Worms by River Access innovates on the psych rock formula to provide a new perspective on a familiar environment. Vocal samples drop us into a moment of intense spiritual revelation, one easily dismissable by outsiders as something trivial or overthought but which conveys a genuine transformation upon the speaker. Instead of just hearing this rant, we rise to its level through the increasing flow of vibrant synthesizers, chirping guitars, and digital noise, all sending us on an emotional incline until we stand together with the speaker at the precipice of a new life. From here, the composition drifts gently between tightly composed songs and sprawling abstract soundscapes, following the path of our thoughts as they enter and exit states of structure. When we in turn tell others about this revelation bestowed upon us, we now have an artifact of transcendence to present alongside our dense, difficult monologues.
