Unschooled by Disorganism
For fans of Brian Eno, Moribet, Spiritualized, dungeon synth, and the nagging belief that there’s something out there beyond sensation, Unschooled by Disorganism chastises us for the abandonment of our curiosity, setting us out on a much-needed adventure with an experimental electronic soundtrack. All of our deepest questions meet deeply unsatisfactory answers as we mature into adults, with emotions reduced to neurochemicals, miracles explained by random chance, and meaning cast off as useless. To combat this, Dosorganism’s warm, dense soundscapes unite with antagonistic narration to shake us from our spiritual slumber, begging us to search for more when the answers stop satisfying our innermost hearts. Across these maximalist compositions, entropy enters through intentionally surreal additions like distorted voices, field recordings, and other strange occurrences, reminding us that no matter how logically we attack the world we will always find details which fall out of line. Of course empirical thought has its time and place and has brought us into an age of relative prosperity, but something inside us will and should always ask for more.
