The record’s angular riffs trace out expansive song structures featuring stark dynamic contrast, these rises and falls tracing the bizarre reactions with which we meet the world after a near-death experience. Especially since this album suggests this trauma to have originated from a mental health crisis, the years of neglecting the future and imagining a world without oneself taking part pile on to further complicate a reality where life milestones continue to occur.
