He by Lady Kabela

He by Lady Kabela

For fans of Ethel Cain, Lolina, crying in the club, and hedonism that never quite feels like we imagined, He by Lady Kabela takes us on an electronic journey to question our deepest desires. Flinging itself wildly between industrial minimalist beats and vocoder slowcore ballads, the record contends with shattered expectations through its fascination with those few remaining shimmery shards. A split personality simultaneously radiating power and seeking validation gradually carves out an aesthetic voice to fuse these two halves, one dominated by enormous bass synths, sparse percussion, symphonic vocals, and dry production. Once we see both sides, we find fantasies hidden in the despair, just as a nihilistic pessimism lingers just below the surface in even the most electric daydream. Finally we realize, these two never contradicted each other; they keep one another alive by fueling one another’s deepest essences, sculpting a complicated figure best expressed through the dark caverns of post-industrial electronica.
