every day is sOmeOne's speciaL day by OLTH

Blending skramz, powerviolence, mathcore, and more, OLTH presents a cacophony of low-fi old-school emo chaos on their debut record Every Day Is Someone's Special Day. This record feels like a throwback to a classic era of alternative music, embodying an underground 90s sound presented for a new generation.

With the siren song of high-pitched screeching and mumbled spoken word to guide us, OLTH dives deep into despair. Jagged, mathy instrumentation is at the forefront of this record, disorienting the listener and leaving us awash in a sea of noise. The occasional hooky riff draws you back in, showcasing the versatility of the NYC-based 5 piece. But otherwise, this record leans hard into unrelenting distorted dread. Contrasting the nonstop brutality of tracks like “LOOking ThrOugH THe HOLe in my Head”, with the gloomy moments found during “sOng fOr jOrdan”, this record perfectly balances angst, anger, and anhedonia. It will definitely be a special day with this aggressively melancholic record blaring through your speakers.
