Chamber Music by Goldenstar

Chamber Music by Goldenstar

For fans of Duster, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, early dissonant post rock, and the silent futility of snow falling into the ocean, Chamber Music by Goldenstar relishes in dimly lit melancholy through a brief collection of grungy slowcore performances. At that point when we emotionally disconnect from our surroundings and give up on any positivity in the future, these lightly distorted, harmonically suspended guitars swoop in, their dissonant warmth embracing us as we give up on finding that embrace anywhere else. Chord progressions designed to pull us in close with the promise of resolution instead devolve into something sinister, locking us in a cycle of emotional decay which gradually chips away at our belief that any relief will find us. Out of the background, mumbled vocals reach desperately for a meaningful solution, instead folding into the composition and gradually confirming our deepest anxieties. Comfort never meant to stand by our side; instead, sounds like Chamber Music characterize the most natural state of our past, present, and future.
