Agriculture by Agriculture

Agriculture by Agriculture

I’ve always loved hearing black metal that gets a bit orchestral, and if you do too then this next record is for you. Agriculture’s self-titled release invites all the drama of the beloved romantic symphonies into their explosive black metal sound. Tremolo guitars swerve from chord to chord, building progressions dizzyingly high into the sky before violently thrashing themselves back to the earth with sections of intense riffing. Agriculture grips your head in its hands and forces you to face the incredible world outside that we so often neglect, begging you to take it all in before it’s too late. Pleading with you with teary eyes and limbs thrashing against the dirt, this record won’t give up on opening your eyes no matter how tightly you squeeze them closed. We find a messenger here with intensity cradled gently in one hand and rage balled tightly into the other, singing to us with the grace of angels while slamming their feet against the ground until skin gives way to bone.
